Holy Guacamole these places are good.

This brand new spot, opened by two friends – one of whom is Mexican – is pretty special. The recipes have been taken straight from the heart of Mexico, as have many of their serving dishes. Traditional cooking techniques combined with rich flavours make for our favourite Mexican food in the city.
Tip: Order a mango & chilli margarita (€4.50) and a plate of 'Sayulita' prawn tacos (€7). You're welcome.

This place Izcallin our name. The dishes are authentic, delicious, and bursting with flavour.
(Tacos €8.50, Margaritas €6)
Tip: Try the truly spectacular Tuna Tostadas and don’t forget to sample their cocktails. We never like to forget this part…

The owners of Dear Breakfast (we just realised Chérie also means Dear in French....) have opened a new Mexican-themed restaurant where the food is both tasty and Instagrammable.
(Tacos €9, Enchiladas €12)
Tip: we recommend the delicious Mezcal and the Tequila cocktails – drink with caution.

An little taste of Mexico in the centre of Lisbon, with an atmosphere and queue to match its popularity.
(3 tacos + Drink + Quesadilla for €9)
Tip: the spicy beef 'Tinga De Res' tacos are locos. Get there early since they don’t take reservations.

Contrary to the name, there is nothing clandestino about this well-loved restaurant. It's been a hot spot for a while now thanks to its edgy interior and atmosphere, as well as its food, which is also pretty good.
(Salmon Ceviche €9.50, Tacos €8.50)
Tip: El Clandestino's tacos can also be tasted on The Garden Rooftop during summer months. You're definitely going to want to try this one out.

3 Amigos
Great service, great food, great prices. No wonder it's called the 3 Amigos.
(Nachos €3.90, Burrito €8.90)
Tip: go for the huge portions, stay for the cocktails...

A tex-mex spot worth a visit thanks to its cosy atmosphere and creative food. They even have their own wine, and Frida features prominently on the walls.
(Quesadillas between €6.90 + €7.80)
Tip: the homemade nachos, guacamole (€4.80) and Margaritas are not to be missed. Also try to leave room for the heavenly banana-Nutella dessert.

Head up to the top of El Corte Ingles (very authentic, we know) for some surprisingly delicious tacos.
Tip: try the beef rib tacos (€11). You'll be coming back.
