*prices given are averages, and Sagres is the beer we chose as the standard one here (naturally).

Park, Bairro Alto

The obvious choice for anyone wanting a fantastic sunset view with a cool atmosphere to match. Park turns into a club later on so your night by no means needs to finish once the sun sets.

Beer: €2 (small)

Cocktail: €8

Noobai, Bica

A favourite spot for a drink with a view of the bridge, this bar offers 3 tiers of outdoor seating and some nice drinks to go with the view.

Beer: €2

Cocktail: €7.50

Café da Garagem, Castelo

Tucked underneath the Teatro da Garagem, this cosy bar puts the 'gem' in Garagem. One of the best views of the city itself as the sun goes down.

Beer: €2

Cocktail: €7

Topo, Mouraria

Good music, good drinks and good prices. Head to the top of the supermarket in Martim Moniz square and you'll be rewarded with a fabulous view of the city and the castle.

Beer: €3.50

Cocktail: €9

LACS Rooftop (Zazah Good View), Santos

Perched on top of the Communitivity of Creators, this rooftop bar offers an excellent view over the river. You can even arrive there from the centre by strolling along the river pre-sunset (how romantic).

Beer: €3

Glass of sangria: €3

Lost In Esplanada Bar, Príncipe Real

Lost In is one of the trendiest rooftop bars around, with super vibrant umbrellas and chairs which light up your evening just that little bit more.

Beer: €2

Cocktail: €9

The Garden Rooftop, Santos

This huge rooftop garden (clue is in the name) acts as a walkway from which you can see the city at its best, and has a capacity of 200 people as well as yummy food.

Note that it only opens for the summer, at a date yet to be released, so keep an eye out.

Cocktail: €8

Miradouro Portas do Sol Quiosque, Alfama

Ok, so this may just your average kiosk, but the view is one of the most iconic in the city. Top tip: take your own drinks and sit and head to Miradouro de Santa Luzia, just down from Portas do Sol. Shh..

Beer: €2.20 (small)

Cocktail: €7
